Need some advice or insight on this issue I've been having. Shortly after I got my 2014 rMBP I noticed the sound card was occasionally 'popping', it specifically noticeable if I was using headphones (either the Apple EarPods or my Sony over ears). I Google'd the symptoms and found a post (that I can no longer find) about the Format on the MIDI Setup.
This is what I default to overtime I restart my computer:
This is the recommendation made by the Apple Support Community.
To use 24/48 instead of 24/44. Strangely, this does seem to fix the problem I was experiencing. Does anyone know why?
