Audio on iMovie isn't playing correctly please help I have to do a presentation today

The audio skimming works correctly, but when I try to play the movie from the beginning the background music nor well the audio from the recorded clips play.😕 Any ideas? The apple help line isn't open because of July 4th and I have to give a presentation this afternoon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
