Audio on Xbox series x on LG 5K?

Hi,

I bought a SIGG HDMI to Usb-c adaptor to connect my xbox series x to my lg 5k 27MD5KL-B. I was able to get the monitor to come on with no problem but can't seem to get any audio to work. I saw a few threads on here and reddit, but has anyone had any success getting sound to play out of the monitor? Or is there anything I can do besides buying a new monitor?

HDMI has sound in it but the adaptor doesn't.that's your problem! USB C to USB C could carry audio if you want it too! Besides di you go into monitor settings or X-Box to speakers port on it connected to owns speakers1

Hi thanks for the replay.

Unfortunately, I need an adapter as the only way to connect the Xbox is to hdmi. so I can’t do usb c to usb c.

I checked in settings on the Xbox, I don’t see any sound options that I’m missing.
