Anyone else experiencing a high degree of random audio pauses in iOS 10 Beta 2? The audio will be playing normally and then pause. Tne only way to fix it is to hit play again on the home screen controls or in the app. This happens with both my wired headphones and iPhone speaker.

Only started since I updated from Beta 1. Seems to only effect podcasts Apps like Downcast and Overcast. Used Spotify for a bit but didn't experience the problem. Restart of the phone doesn't help. Chime in if you have experienced this issue.

This is also happening to me. Been driving me nuts since I upgraded to beta 2. Happens when phone is wired to car and also when using BT. Pauses at least every 3-4 minutes. Never experienced this with beta 1.

Does anyone seem to know where this problem is coming from? I seem to think mine was back from 9.3 but cant be sure...

I even thought it was my car that was the problem and since have gotten a new car, same problem. Now on beta 2 and problem still persists. I believe it is a data related issue since it happens when I go through downtown most of the time (bad service area).

Wonder if it has anything to do with the new feature in the music.app "Optimize Storage". Because my wife is also on beta 2 and that is NOT checked off on her phone and she has zero issues (we share an Apple Music account)

Also happening to me since beta 2. I use Overcast in the car and it keeps pausing. Worse, I can start and stop audio from the steering wheel under normal circumstances, even in beta 2, but when this happens restarting from the steering wheel doesn't work and I have to pick the phone up and press start on the lock screen. Super annoying but, oh well, beta.

Doesn't appear so, I have Optimize Storage in my Music settings in the off position as well. I use Spotify so until you mentioned it, I hadn't opened up the Music app since Beta 2 was released.

Do all of you have Apple Watches? Running OS 3.0 beta as well. Just curious if it might be Watch communication causing the problem.

Sounds like a system level problem as it's affecting multiple apps and multiple output sources. I shouldn't complain as this is life with beta software, but this bug is annoying. Will be interesting to see if the Public Beta build is different. Might be worth a switch if so.

I put my phone in airplane mode and still had the issue. Cuz I thought the watch might have been the issue too.

Having this problem too, but not with Apple Music; only third-party apps including YouTube & Netflix. Possibly Overcast, but I haven't used that one since installing beta 2.

I too am having this issue since installing beta 2. We all need to report the issue in the feedback app.

This has happened to be numerous times with two different Bluetooth headphones. While riding the subway it seemed to happen more frequently when shifting between no data and data.

Yes. I'm experiencing this for the first time after installing iOS 10 today. Random pausing happened 5 times during a 30 minute podcast just now.

Reports on Reddit indicate that turning off the "Hey Siri" feature solves this issue for now.

I am not only getting random pauses but also getting pauses anytime I receive or send a message and getting it when waze tells me my turn is coming up. Along with pauses, Spotify randomly starts going to next track every 4 seconds or so with nothing I can do to stop it. Tried force quitting Spotify and tried restarting my phone but neither fixed it. Beta 2 also is much more of a battery hog than b1. b2 on the watch is a complete wreck even compared to the less than stable b1.
