I have an iMac, mid-2010, 3.6/i5 processor running latest Snow Leopard. I just purchased a Samsung HDTV and Onkyo receiver. I connected the mini display port in my mac via an adaptor and HDMI cable to the HDMI input on my receiver. The picture is perfect, however the sound drops out for a couple of seconds, 2-3 times a minute, with the receiver seeming to indicate its not receiving the sound during the dropouts. Has anyone else heard of this, and if so, know how I may be able to fix this. Is it a matter of tweaking any of the settings on either my mac or receiver? All other HDMI inputs to the receiver (cable, game systems, etc) are having no sound issues, just the one from my mac.

Is it on 10.6.8?

Some people are reporting 10.6.8 has audio problems. (I don't have a problem).
