i have a ton of movies ripped to my computer, but recently, after downloading the newest quicktime, none of them have working audio. so i did all the tricks. i did the DivX codec thing, tried Divx player, converter, etc. i tried the thing where you open garage band, and quit it. that didn't work. i did the audio MIDI thing, and the output was already set correctly. i have no clue what to do. any help?

i use a intel macbook running tiger.

and if it is of any help, all my other programs' audio works just fine. firefox, garage band, itunes, and VLC work just fine, so i can still watch the movies, but i can't use quicktime to convert them to ipod movies, and all the other stuff quicktime does.
