Audio set-up help

Hi im new to the forums and im not sure if this is the right place to post this but i figured its an audio question so it might be good to post here.

right now i have a set of 5.1 speakers with the green/orange/black plugs that hook up into my windows computer fine. i want to be able to hook up the speakers to my HDTV and my ipod at the same time if possible.

if thats not possible can i hook it up to my HDTV and iMac at the same time? for the imac i know i need the griffin firewave becasue of the 1 input that is the 3.5mm headphone jack.
