Hey all,

Thanks for all the help in my previous post (quad g5 not powering up). Apple has dispatched someone to the studio and they'll be here tomorrow.

But...alas...another issue. I have had this happen on my dual g5 at home too...but the audio seems to magically shift to the left channel. Probably about 65/35 in favor of the left. Has anyone heard of this? What could be causing it?

I mean, it's not the end of the world...but it's kind of annoying having to shift it back to center again and again.

happens on my 12" powerbook every now and again, i have not found a fix for it personally

I (along with other users) have found that using the keys (f3-f4-f5) to turn down/up/off the volume frequently often cause that shift in balance to happen. I haven't had it happen in months, but I really don't use those buttons.
