Do you think it would be possible for Apple down the road to let you plug in headphones to your iOS device and channel the audio from your ATV/ TV to the iOS remote app? That would be a killer feature. It's really nice having the Roku 3 and being able to plug headphones into the remote.

Audio through the remote app...

Ok so I just found the answer I my question. There is an app on the App Store right now called AirMusic Play. It's $0.99 but it works perfectly. You open the app and then go to AirPlay in the Apple TV settings and select AirMusic Play for the speakers. Then you pick what you want to watch and the audio will come out your iOS device. You can then plug in headphones and listen privately. There is no delay either. It essentially turns your iDevice into an airplay receiver. Pretty cool!

if you are jailbroken, a tweak called airfloat does the same for free
