Don't know if this is a Mavericks related issue or not...

Have noticed audio "ticking" where I get a ticking noise constantly in the audio.

Seems to come and go.

Probably related to some installed software, but just want to make certain this isn't a Mavericks related quirk.

there's a lot of Mavericks related audio issues.

Quicktime on Mavericks outputs stuttering audio.

etc. https://discussions.apple.com/message/23778867#23778867

The issues generally are that people with fusion drives have audio issues. some have issues with video playback in quicktime with stuttering and clicking, some have drop outs with recording software, some have issues with their external sound card but not with "internal speakers" , some have problems with iTunes where audio quality and smoothness will degrade slowly after listening for a couple minutes until it becomes choppy

mavericks is a trash pile right now

My audio also stutters redering in Cinema 4D, but only when playing through iTunes. I suppose it has something to do with where the CPU power are located?
