Universal Audiobook player for iPhone and iPad with sync

Hello everybody.

In my process of my iPad being my main device (I'm almost there, as soon as I finish ripping my DVDs) I have notice something. I usually listen to audiobooks in the native Books app, but you cannot open audiobooks from outside Apple Books Store in it if you don't transfer them using a Mac...so I need to find an alternative.

I have been searching for a while and cannot find an app that covers all my requirement and it's free for trying it (I don't mind to pay after checking that is ok). What I need is not too much, but cannot find anything:

1- Open audiobooks that I have stored in iCloud. I'm not meaning streaming them, but being able to access to Files app and load them from there.
2- Have iPhone and iPad version.
3- Sync position (if there's the option for sync also the actual files, it would be better) between iPhone and iPad.
4- Not subscriptions. I don't mind to pay for it, but not another subscription.

Maybe someone is in the same situation and can help with this? 🙂

I don't know of any such app.
The closest thing I know of is a "Plex" server instance (NAS, Mac, Windows, etc.) and the app "Prologue" on your iDevices.
Both are free. But if you want to be able to download the audiobooks to your device, you have to unlock it via a one-time in-app purchase.
And only the playback position is synced between your devices.
This is what I am using - and loving.

Thank you, but for a Plex server I need a computer, and the goal is to be free or any computer, using only the iPad.
