I built Aulio Studio (auliostudio.com) because every audio cleaner I could find either uploaded your files to a cloud server, charged a monthly subscription, or couldn't remove filler words. I wanted all three problems solved in one native Mac app.

What it does:

  • AI noise removal (HVAC, fan hum, traffic, room tone)
  • Filler word removal (um, uh, like, you know) - shows each detection for review before any cut is made
  • Stutter and repeated-phrase removal
  • Silence trimming
  • De-reverb for echoey rooms
  • Transcription in 99 languages, fully on-device
  • Batch processing
  • Video support (MP4/MOV - cleans the audio track and re-muxes)
What makes it different from cloud tools:

Everything runs on your Mac. No files leave your machine. On M1 a 2-minute clip processes in about 20 seconds, on M4 closer to 8 seconds. No upload wait, no queue, no file size cap, no internet needed after install.

Pricing: $89 one-time via the Mac App Store, 14-day free trial with full access, no credit card required. Requires macOS 14+, works on Apple Silicon and Intel.

Happy to answer questions about the on-device pipeline, feature requests, or anything else.
