Hi feel free to move this if I’m in the wrong thread. But I’ve been in rolled in the Apple upgrade program my last payment of $36 and some odd cents is due at the end of the month. If I don’t upgrade right away and I upgrade in January, does that money end up going towards the new phone that I’m about to upgrade to or does it just disappear when I turn the phone in to Apple?

I’m thinking that I’ll pay $36 today and then $40 tomorrow when I go in and pick up the new phone. If I wait after the normal payment date that mean that I have to pay a prorated amount for part of December and then pay the 40 for the new phone as well ?

so if you dont upgrade till january you are paying for the existing phone and when you turn it in, its gone.

Thanks. I tried asking the Apple Store people about this process They basically told me that everybody upgrades right on time or they don’t and just carry on with there current phone.

its just like you are renting the phone. After 12 payments you are eligible to upgrade. If you upgrade in 15th month you have to pay for 15 months rent and then upgrade and Citizens one refund you for the remaining number of days from the months(if there are any)
