Australian store down ... pre orders to start soon

Hey

Guess we'll be one of the first of this bunch of releases. The 10th is already a few hours old and the app store is down, ...
 
Hi,

what time is it in Sydney at the moment? I only ask as we in the UK are trying to work out when the pre-orders might start taking place.

1.30 am, and store is already down for quite a while now.
I think apple will start the preorder somewhen durning the night to avoid the rush (like if they did it at 8 or 9 am).
 
Nice big "iPad is here" on the front page too (of aus site) but store still down 😕

Sorry I'm wrong and obviously way too tired
 
Gonna keep an eye on this one - it might give us UK bods an idea about when we can start plunking down our money as moseleyite says. We've not got much info from other sources so you never know, the Aus start time might be the same as the UK (by that I mean, whatever o' clock the store starts taking pre orders might be the same when it rolls around in the UK).

I hav money waiting to be spent and would also like to start buying other things that I've been putting off for a while in case of unforeseen iPad expenditure, lol. 😉

Great, thanks - I'll be up early tomorrow morning* anyway so I'll take a glance at the site before I go to work.

well, it's 2.22 and it's still down.

Will have to argue with myself if go to bed soon or wait a bit longer, ... .
 
I guess our Australian friends are asleep now.... Pity, their AppleStore is now taking iPad pre-orders! I haven't checked it for the last half-hour or so, but I guess it went live about 4am Sydney time.

So what time will the UK AppleStore go live I wonder... Might have to set my alarm for 4am!

its SO tempting!!!!! im only getting the lowest wifi model = $629.. its alot of money but not THAT much that i dont want to not un-get it.. 😕

ill think about it for today.

im near the gold coast, anybody gonna get theirs from the robina store?>
