Pocket Weather AU 1.1 was just approved by Apple a few days ago, and as one of the 2 developers that worked on it (in our spare time), I'd be interested to hear how many Australians on this forum use it, and for the ones that do what feedback they have. It's basically a forecast and radar app that gets all it's data from the BOM.

I've been a member here since before I bought my first mac in the good old G4 days, and I've seen quite a few other aussies around the place, so I'd love to hear your feedback. :D

Congratulations Mac Me Up on making something worthwhile in the app store. One of the few apps I am actually happy to have paid for along with Pangea's apps. Does the job for me and I am especially wrapped as it's actually linked to BOM so use it all the time as it has proven more reliable. It is on my first page of apps and replaced the other default weather app.

I have had no issues using it but have read that some users would like the default location to open first instead of the list of locations. I am happy either way and as I said a worthwhile app and very happy to have paid for it.:D

Thanks heaps for making a usuable app for the Aussies!

Thanks for the feedback, and glad to hear you like it! I too have it on the first page of my iPhone, and use it everyday.

The open to first location feature is in the new version(1.1), once you upgrade, simply go to the 'Settings' app on your iPhone, find 'Pkt Weather' and turn that feature on. It will auto open to your top-most location when you do. :D

Love the app and it's also on my home screen as I use it every day.

Sydney current temp did not work, but I'm looking forward to downloading v1.1.
Edit: North Head Temp monitoring may be broken.

v1.1 does not seem to be in my AppStore>>Updates list though. Is this dependent on whether I was logged in to the US or the AU store when I originally purchased it?

    Thanks again

    Matt

Yeah the sydney thing is fixed, when you get the new version just delete Sydney and re-add it. You need to log in with the apple username you originally downloaded it with yes. So if like me you have a US and AUS account, you need to log into the one you used to buy the app.

Edit: Only some BOM locations support current temperature. North Head doesn't appear to, but I'll double check later today just to make sure that isn't us.

Yeah the developer section is full of them. I actually got started because I snapped my achilles tendon earlier this year, and was sitting around (which is about all I did for about 2 months) browsing these forums and thinking to myself "I'm a programmer, I love the mac and iPhone...why don't I just spend the time and learn how to do it..."
