Authenticate after sleep

For some reason when I wake my iMac from sleep I get this message "You must authenticate to unlock the the screen. Mac OS X reqires that you type your password." This never happened before. How can I stop this command? MC

There should be an option to turn this off in the Security pane of System Preferences.

In the Security preference pane there's an option to "Require a password to wake this computer from sleep or screen saver."

You might want to see if it's checked or not.
