Auto-arrange icons in a folder and desktop

is there a way to Auto-arrange icons in folders and desktops permanently , I move files within my desktop and would like them to be Auto-arranged by names

i have mavericks

Desktop: you need only do it once, of course.

Folders: Go to the highest level folder, set it in Show View Options, then click the Use As Defaults button. This should work for all folders inside it, except for any you have already manually changed the settings for.

You are confusing a mac with a Windows computer. OS X is based on BSD Unix and in Unix once you change done thing it stays changed until YOU change it!
