Does anyone notice auto brightness acting weird like not changing with different lighting or dimming too low? Just recently noticed it since it had not done that before

Auto brightness has never seemed to work very well on my 5c. Particularly auto-dimming -- my screen remains blindingly bright in a dark room, until I manually slide it all the way down. I find I frequently need to make little adjustments. This is the first iPhone I've owned, so I don't have much to compare it to...

I really thought the auto brightness is just normal. I didn't give attention to it but when I read your thread, I was wondering maybe there really is something wrong with the new latest ios.

After doing the calibration thing, I find I just can't get with "functional" auto-brightness. It gets nice and dim in the dark, but not bright enough (for me, anyway) in normal lighting.

I don't use auto brightness because the changes it invokes usually make it worse not better.

You're probably low on sensor fluid. Just make a genius appointment and let them know you need a top off.
