Yesterday I received my refurbished 2019 13 inch MacBook Pro. The auto brightness is not working. I reseted both PRAM and SMC. This method did not solve the issue. Also I reinstalled Mac OS Mojave and still the auto brightness does not work. Is this a hardware issue or a known issue in Mac OS Mojave?

Not sure. And apologies, I’m not aware of information regarding this, but in the spirit of attempting to be helpful, maybe temporarily installing Catalina on a separate partition can help isolate whether it’s a Mojave issue.

Pretty sure it is not a known Mojave issue. Working fine on my 2018 15" MBP. Dumb question, but you do have it turned on at "System Preference | Display | Built in Retina display"?
