I recently received an iPad for Christmas and noticed that the auto-brightness function doesn't seem to do anything. If it does, I'm sure not noticing it because in low light the brightness doesn't reduce any and in bright light it doesn't increase. I'm not exactly sure how it's supposed to work, but nothing is changing with the screen when it's on.

I guess I don't understand why it is that auto-brightness works beautifully on my Macbook Pro, yet is so messed up on the iPad and iPhone.

It works fine on my iPad, maybe there is a problem with the sensor on yours? Is it in a case that is covering the sensor by any chance?

tbh i could never get it to work any of my iphones and ipad lol
just tryed to see if it works on my iphone 4 and ipad and it doesnt change :(

Auto-Brightness getting on my nerves now. I run the Sling app during the day on my iPad and then when I want to use it at night, I keep forgetting to change my brightness settings, because auto-brightness doesn't change it much at all.
