I would like to have my mac connect to detected NFS servers automatically at login. I tried to add the server alias to login items, though, that does no work. I was hoping to keep my itunes library directory on a remote server and have it connect when i login. Thanks to all who reply.

I have this as my current setup. Itunes music is on a network server, and I created an alias to the network drive. I dragged that alias to my startup items list and now it automatically connects when I log in... not sure why this does not work for you. However, every time my computer goes to sleep it loses the network connection. I've started using Quicksilver, so now I can quickly open the alias file to re-map the network drive.

Can you explain how you added the aliases to your login items? Maybe I can help figure our your problem (but I am new to macs!).
