Any ideas as to why my iMac wants to log off constantly. I have it password protected to wake up (purely to keep my kids off) but no other power saver features activated.

Whenever I walk away for any period of time, it has tried to log out and may have stalled due to the fact that I've left Safari open or the like, but otherwise logs off completely.

This just bugs me! Any ideas how to avoid this happening would be appreciated.

Thanks

You've probably turned on the "Log off after X minutes of inactivity" preference in Security, in System Preferences, with X set to something ridiculously low like 1 minute.

Auto Log Off...constantly !

System Preferences - Security & Privacy - ADVANCED button in lower right.
When the Advanced window opens -
Uncheck box - "Log out after x minutes of inactivity"
