Auto pause-resume feature for walking

I love the auto resume/pause feature for outdoor and indoor running. I'd also like to have it for walking, but for some reason, it's not an option. I have used the running workout when walking and the pause/resume feature works fine as a work around. Are there other solutions people use? Thanks..

Press the crown & side button at the same time. It will pause & resume any workout.

Thanks.. I know you can do that, but it's not auto. With running, it can start and stop by detecting your movement, no button presses needed.

the problem is where I live we have cars and traffic lights and if I don't stop I will become real flat! p

I like how it lets me know at halfway point. This is my first fitness watch and i love it.

The App is a native app so no you do not need the iPhone.
