Auto power on when plugged in?

Hey everyone!

I’m using my MBP M3 Max with an external monitor, and I’d like it to power on automatically when plugged in - just like my old Intel MacBook used to.
Has anyone figured out a way to make this work?

I already tried running
Code: 
sudo nvram -d BootPreference
, but no luck...

I know I can just put it to sleep, but I’m really looking for a proper workaround.
