I have a pair of automations on my iPad that control the smart plug its charger is plugged into. Its mission is to sit for sometimes up to a week or two plugged in but in standby. The automations start charging at 80% and stop charging at 90%.
All was fine until Apple introduced the auto reboot. Now after a period of three days of inactivity, the iPad reboots, which disables my automations until I actually unlock it. As a result, the battery slowly discharges until empty. Or worse, if the reboot occurs while charging it will charge to 100% and stay there..... exactly what I was trying to prevent. Thanks Apple..... NOT.
Is there any workaround that would keep my automations active after an unattended reboot?
