AutoCAD shift button on Parallel or VMWare Fusion

I have Win XP (32-bit) installed on bootcamp. Have Parallels and VMware fusion installed on OS X and are setup to use the boot camp partition.

When I run AutoCAD on PD or VMW and press my shift button to do a temp ORTHO, it doesn't recognize it.
