anyone have any thoughts of autodesk's smoke
and the 13in mbp with 2.3 ghz and 4 gigs of ram?
I suspect it'll run, well crawl. Your main issues I'd have thought would be a lack of RAM and a serious lack of graphics capability.
Have to ask though, why would you want to run such a high end app on such a low-end machine? A Smoke Artist can bill £400 an hour, post houses £500, a weeks work alone will cover the bridging loan for buying a loaded Mac Pro.
thnx 4 the reply..im just curious as to how far i could push the 13inch mbp
i ll get 8 gigs of ram in total for the 13inch...and i ll be getting the 27inch imac next week too outfitted with at least 8gigs of ram running @3.0ghz
as far as smoke goes ,i didnt know the program was SO MUCH $$$$$ so i cant
get it i ll have to go with final cut
quick google search came up with ~US$14,000 for that program....
