I used to do that on iOS 14. Not noticeable at all. When I upgraded to iOS 17 (directly, skipping all in-between versions), I had to disable permanent low power mode because scrolling got very laggy in low power mode
I'm not surprised. Apple's software is something of a bloated mess these days. For what it's worth, I also never updated my phone; I'm still on iOS 15.

You need to tap the little ‘I’ when editing your shortcut on iPhone. Underneath the privacy segmented control tab.

There was a time when useful features like this would have been easily accessible directly from the battery preferences and streamlined for this use-case.

There were never such a time for iPhones and iPads. You must be thinking of another operating system where you can configure to your hearts content.

You mean back when you had to leave an app just to change settings for that app?
