hey

I am getting pretty fed up of automatic app updates, which I kinda thought would make app updates hassle free.

However, what's happening is that when I unlock my iPad Air 2 after not being used, suddenly all my apps start updating right at the the point I want to use them! This is infuriating. Right now I have 17 apps waiting to install before I can use them.

I'm using a Smart Cover - has this got anything to do with it?

Is this the way it's supposed to work?

The app updates generally supposed to trigger when your device is being charged and connected to wifi. Prolonged non usage while not being charged generally deactivates the wifi radio to conserve battery usage.
