Anyone else encounter this issue? I open the app store and pending updates will show up with an 'UPDATE' button next to them and when I close the app store, I get the red circle with the number of pending updates on the app store icon. I have all the settings for automatic downloads for app updates turned on and yet they won't update automatically, nor will I get any kind of notification about them. Sometimes the red circle disappears from the app icon, but then it comes back. Has this been occurring to anyone else? How can I get the apps to update automaticall without me having to open the app store to see that there are new updates?

I've had 4 apps update since installing iOS 7. Only 1 would not update automatically, meaning I had to press the update button. Best guess I can make at this point is Apple's servers being bogged down and causing auto updates to not go through.

None of my apps are updating either. I'm really beginning to think that Apple is going to hell. iOS 7 has been piss poor on pretty much everything. The update looks terrible as well. And the new iPhone is hardly an upgrade. Same computing power, different look and pointless new apps. I've loved Apple my whole life, but it's getting ridiculous.

Is it really not working or are you just being impatient? Apple never claimed it would happen immediately! :)

The new iPhone has a large boost in computing power, not sure what you're talking about.

Looks are objective - I, and many others, happen to think iOS 7 looks great and is a very welcome change.

And app updates happen at various points throughout the day, not right when the update is available. Have you made sure you have Automatic App Updates switched to on under Settings, iTunes & App Store? Do you keep going in and manually checking for updates, or do you let it be for a few days?
