Automatic reconnect to hidden SSIDs

Hello all,

I'm brand new to MacOS, just got myself a Macbook Pro M5 Pro and am struggling with wifi reconnect after resuming or restarting my Mac.

With windows, no matter whether a wifi hotspot was hidden or not, the reconnect to a known wifi network is flawless and almost instantaneous.

This is not the behaviour of MacOS, far from it.

Are there third party tools that make the reconnection seamless? I had to type in (once again) my SSID and password this morning (doesn't happen all the time, it sometimes reconnects after a minute or two).

Hidden SSIDs aren’t a great idea since clients end up broadcasting them anyway looking for the networks. But if you don’t have a choice, possible solution is to forget the network and re-add selecting automatically join.
