Automatic Updates on Mavericks

I was just wondering what was going on with the automatic updates in Mavericks? I have all of the boxes checked on System Prefs under App Store, yet overnight my Macbook Air (2013) did not update and now there are 8 updates waiting for me.

Anyone know what is going on here?

I never could get that gimmick to work. Never saw it work on iOS 7 either. maybe you need to wait a week lol.

You can choose to have them download and install in the background automatically, or unstick that box...Personally, I want to look at what's in the updates prior to installing them.
