Ok, this is a minor annoyance that I have been dealing with lately.

I have the latest iMac running the latest version of Leopard. My iMac normally connects wirelessly to my Airport Extreme Basestation automatically. However, I have to connect manually if I turn the iMac on first and the basestation on second.

What makes this worse, is that my XP laptop connects automatically!

I am using WPA2 Personal as security and I have created a closed network.

This is interesting. I recently turned on my external hard drive first and then the iMac.

The external drive was recognized and I was able to do a Time Machine backup. I don't know if something has changed with the recent updates.
