Automatically loading a webpage and clicking links

I have tried using automator to load a webpage, click links and then log out. I for some reason cannot get it to work.
I used the recorder function to do this as I was unsure how to do it any other way.

Can anyone help me out with a better way to do this.

I need to be able to get it to run at set amounts of time.

Is this possible?

There are several ways to do this. It all depends on exactly how the website is constructed, as for some sites you'll have to log in manually before running your script.

I use a little command-line program called wget for web bots like the one you're trying to make - but I don't recommend using it if you're not comfortable at the command line.

It does have a login required, but I use 1password, so I should be able to use that to log me in I think!
