    Hi all,

I've read the other posts about this issue, but have not found a thread addressing automatic resizing a Finder column width to the longest filename. Is there a trick to configure Finder to do this? So far it looks like only a manual double-click of the column handle will accomplish this.

    Thanks everyone!

You can Option-drag a column width to set all column widths in all Finder windows to the new width, remembering it for next time too.

But it doesn’t appear possible to have each column automatically size to the best size.

Yeah, until you "open new folder in same window" once.
