Automatically syncing shuffle with iTunes?

I've gotten so far as dowloading music from a CD of mine and "manually" transferring 5 songs towards my "shuffle" which I just got and trying to get to know. I think I did this when I was registering.

Now, I want to change it to getting music onto iShuffle randomly and by Autofill when ready to automatically load songs. In general, to change options.

Also, I want to Sync Shuffle Automatically so that any music I download to iTunes automatically syncs whatever is on my shuffle. I've tried following the instructions, but I can't find my way to some of the instructions. ie. it says if I want to sync shuffle to connect it to computer, & when icon appears in iTunes (below devices), select it. If Summary pane is not showing, click the Summary tag. I've gotten as far as selecting and I don't see any summary pane, and I have no idea where the summary tag is.

They also talk of having iTunes randomly select songs for me. It says "Choose items randomly and click Autofill when ready to automatically load songs.

Other instructions are "Sync music", "All songs and playlists", "Selected Playlists".

What I'm asking is where do I find all these options??? Maybe if someone could tell me step by step as the instructions are pretty clear. I guess what I'd prefer is if I gradually add music to my shuffle, each time I connect my shuffle to the computer it would automatically sync to the music in my iTunes. Maybe at times I would want to manually do it. How do I make changes to all these settings.

I've connected my shuffle (on & off), checked the menus, preferences, controls, etc. and didn't see some of these instructions to click. Can you help me? There must be someone who knows how I change the settings. I hope someone answers.
