hi, does anyone know any app/software that can automatically transfer files from a USB thumb drive instantly when it's plugged into the mac? can automator do that? i wanna create a dropbox like folder on my mac that once new files added on a USB and plug into my mac, it will automatically transfer the files into that folder. Thank you!

You can use the app Carbon Copy Cloner to do this. Just select your source and destination folders/files in the main screen, then click schedule task and set it up like in my screen below. Then when you plug in the USB key you will get a popup asking if it is okay to proceed then the backup. Click proceed and the transfer will run.

You can uncheck the box shown if you don't want that "okay to proceed" prompt.
