For the life of me I can not seem to get Automator to work. I'm not even trying so do anything complicated.

I'm trying to resize several images from one folder and place them into another folder.

I guess I'm reaching out here for a few tips or a "How to" resize images.

Thx

i did a search for automator and found out that most automator help get little to no replies at all!

if you have 10.5 like i do,

copy the folder full of pictures

then go into the copied folder and select all
right click -> more-> autmoartor - > create workflow

in the search, type in scale images, add that, click don't add,

then run it

You could also you GraphicConvertor's batch convert function which is specifically designed for exactly that type of function.

1. create 2 folders on your desktop.

1 of these folders will be used to drag the images you want to resize. the second will be your finished resized images.

2. open automator
see image for settings
save as a plugin-in (folder action)
attach to the first folder

Thanks everyone, that seemed to do the trick. I was selecting a folder and not actually the content in the folder.

I would agree there does not seem to be a lot of help when it comes to the automator.
