I'm using Automator to connect to server share, however it doesn't fails to connect over 445 after entering details, while "Connect to server (CMK-K) works

"Get Specified Servers" is set as smb://server/share:445

When the script runs it asks for credentials but then fails, even though its right

When using CMK-K from Finder it only works *without* 445.. dialog appears and it connects after the fact as admin. So port number if the issue

If i leave out port number in AUomator it connects, but then as read only.

I'm testing this out, because i'm helping someone who needs Network map shares on login, however the method of connecting up to Finder and placing in Logon items fails to connect on restart, on Snow Leopad 10.6.3, so i'm trying to see if i could get automator going on mine. I'll tel him again "Remeber password"check box must be enabled, but i think AUtomator would be better way.

I'd expect the syntax to be smb://servername:445/Sharename. If I try to connect to smb://myserver/sharename:445, it fails because the share name is unknown, but smb://myserver:445/sharename works fine.

Tried it again ... Can only connect via IP and but as read only from Automator

I cannot connect via DNS, unless i open Finder sidebar. Example shows trying to trash file after. as a test.

Works fine via CMD-K
