automator: "take picture" function not working with my 350D?

which shows you how to take pictures using a 350D camera (or any other camera).

This method doesn't work with all cameras but luckily like the articles author I also have a 350D but when i went to try this automator said it didn't recognise my camera?!

can anyone help me or direct me to a good website where i might get an answer...

ohh? fixed it! automator said to connect using PTP which didn't work. just tried connecting using pc connection and it worked. Oh well. atleast the answer is on the internet now 🙄

so im not sure what PTP mode or PC mode is. can you clarify please? oh and how do i get to it? i have a Canon EOS 450D.
