Autotext/correction?

actually, there is an app called Textexpander available from the app store. Also, if your iphone is jailbroken, there is an app called Xpandr.

The battery issue: buy an external battery pack, portable charger, i even read somewhere that there is a solar portable charger for iphone.

Text expander in ipad is work as single application and has to copy paste to other application.
Autotext in BB works in any application, messenger, email, other 3rd party app.

it helps me a lot to save time. i can work 100 times faster. i write 200 words offering letter only 5 seconds, i have 3 type of offering letters with autotext of1 of2 of3, boom i add only name of customer and price!

i think serious effective productive person has to go back to BB.

Programmable/custom text shortcuts are in iOS 5. This is the first link I found in Google.

You can creat a shortcut which will do the same on the iPhone. Got to Settings, General, Keyboard, Add New Shortcut
I too just switched from BB and this was one thing i cant do without.

iPhone Shortcuts

I have an iPhone 4 (not the 4S) and it has the feature you all seem to be talking about. Settings - General - Keyboard - Shortcuts. Works great. On the other hand, I have real frustration with the autocomplete always changing the word "so" to "do". Seriously? Does no one use "so" in their sentences anymore?
