AV cable for iPod Av same as ibook av?

Are the two cables similar, that is can you use the old iBook av cable with the new g5 Ipod av?🙄 :

i know the ipod cable has a 3.5mm jack on it (thats the audio connector on headphones and the top of the ipod) but ive got no idea what the ibook connects with

No you can't I tried using my Clamshell iBook AV cable and it did not work. But, I used a similar cable from my Dad's Sony digital video camera, and using a site I found (this thread talks about it here.) I was able to get it to work perfectly! You basically move the audio and video jacks around and it'll work fine. Enjoy 🙂
