I'm thinking of upgrading from my iPad 2 to the Air. I have a 16GB model currently which has been fine for my needs but I'm wondering how much space is now taken with the Airs sporting Pages, Numbers, Garage Band, iMovie, etc.... I don't have any of those apps on my iPad 2.

As far as I know, all those apps are optional. They don't come preinstalled. You have to get them yourself from the appstore (for free).

we start from how many real gigabytes? 12,4 without any data?

and with only the apple i work and i life suite how many giaga remain?

i think 9 giga free with only apple suites....

can someone try? thank you

Just picked up my 16gb has 12.0 gb free (that has synced maybe 150mb of icloud data) so 12.1 to 12.2gb free standard.
Friend has a 32gb has 26.7gb available from stock.
Yes these are Airs, we are in Australia where it is the future already 😀

Wow. I was guessing 2-3gb's gone but not 4-5gbs. I guess I was thinking it would be similar to my 16gb IP5 which IIRC, came out of the box with 13.5gb avail.
