dialog box popped up "IP address compromised-get AvastSecurity VPN" is this necessary? mac 2012 desktop yeah would love to have a new one 😀
 
Scam and unnecessary. VPN’s give people a false sense of security these days and are only good for accessing region blocked content.

Sounds like a spammy website sending spammy web push notifications. You should probably check which sites are allowed to send you notifications in your browser.
