Avatar size change?

i went to upload a new Avatar and it says the size can be no bigger than 50x50 pixels. Is this a change or a mistake?

says the same for me, but i thought the limit was 75x75? and im pretty sure that mine is at least 75 on the one side, odd, i wonder if this is just another glitch or what?

I don't know, but one person's tar is freakin' humongous (I think it's 5300cs). Somehow the sizes got all messed up...
