Coincidence that Duet is on sale today for half price? I think not. :D

Thanks for the recommendation on Duet in the other thread!

I'm using it now on an iPad 3 and Late 2013 rMBP! It's a little laggy, but completely usable (I image it's silky smooth on an Air 2). Great little utility!

I wasn't crazy about custom graphic drivers, but necessary evil.

___________
EDIT: I take it back. It isn't great, but spectacular! I had a momentary freeze on my Macbook pro, but that's not a huge deal. It isn't something I'd use all the time, but will definitely use in the future! Have you had any issues on your system related to using this app extensively?

No, just that first issue I had mentioned with the hot corner shortcut to show desktop. I run it 8–5 at work every day. I even unplug it a few times on some days to bring it to a meeting and it always reconnects fine. One time when I came back from a long weekend I had to restart the app on my Mac to get it to connect, but it wasn't a big issue. I think the iMac needed to be restarted anyway as I run tons of different apps for my work—it's not unusual for me to have 25+ apps running in my dock at any given time, which includes over 100 tabs between Chrome, FireFox and Safari, as well as many utilities in the menu bar, with Bar Tender hiding 2/3 of them haha. My job is basically app designer, web designer, graphic designer, web developer, photographer and sometimes even video editor—so you can see why this utility has really helped me. Former Apple engineers made this so I trust the custom drivers more than I normally would—and I believe when you quit the app they are unloaded right? I don't have a very high technical knowledge of how such things work on Macs. Back when I was a kid I would build PCs and was always tweaking drivers in Windows but that was years ago. I think Macs use kexts which behave a little differently. I remember having to mess around with that back in the day when OSX86 first came out. Ended up getting frustrated and just bought my first Mac a couple years later.

Me too, I bought version 1 and 2, and now I am not happy to spend another 10 (they should give us a free update for that we bought 1 and 2). I have a bad feeling about this company. Loot at other apps from this company, are they going to release Air sharing v4 for another 7 and expect I pay again? I guess not. Enough for this company.

you will be happier with duet. I bought the original air display and it as cool. latency was not. paying full price for 2 made no sense and another 17 dollars for 3. When I saw Duet I just dropped air display. It was way better.
