I'm looking at HD camcorders. Canon just released the HF10 which is getting pretty good reviews. I haven't decided whether to get that or a TAPE version like the HV30. What sort of work flow do you need when dealing with AVCHD files (downloading, editing, storage, etc). Do you need Final Cut to convert the file? Can I use iMovie? Thanks

I bought an HV20 about 6 months ago. Video quality was great but I just couldn't stand using tapes, real-time importing, etc. So, I sold the HV20 and got an HF100. Wow - I love the HF100. And AFAIC the video quality is close enough to that of the HV20 and recording in AVCHD to SD memory is such a sweet simple clean process! No messing with tapes! I highly recommend going SD vs. HDV tape.
