So is college bound supposed to mean currently in college? I doubt there are many 22 year olds who are going to begin attending college shortly (which is how I interpreted college bound).

(Like myself, 22 and graduated and out in the "real world" working)

Same. So I voted 18-22. Cuz I'm cool like that. .

hehe, I didn't lie, i'm still a whole year away from College and 6 months away from 18, but I hope it goes by quickly and slowly at the same time. I don't want to leave my school, but can't stand everything else

Right now i'm pretending my Mac can't be used for filling out online college applications... The Common App keeps calling my name and I keep running:(

some stats, up-to-date as of 129 voters in the poll (1:35am EST, 7/30)

I took the values and put them into the stats/list editor on my TI89. Here are some screen grabs:

The list, frequency values in List1 and average age values for each age category in List2:

mainstats.png

Then some statistics on the information:

assume50.png

the first value (x 'bar') is the average, 25.37. For the >45 category we have to guess an average age of voters over 45. Changing this value from 45-60 only creates a range of 0.93 years, I assume because there aren't enough older people to severely throw the data.

The value that looks like ox (10.0579) is the standard deviation. This is affected by changing the guess of the oldest average age. Assuming 45 it is 9.346, while assuming 60 it is 11.726.

Pah, kids today, don't know they're born with these new fangled Computometer things.

I didn't get my first computer until after I got my walker frame*

34 but, feeling like Professor Hubert Farnsworth from futurama after drinking far too much San Miguel last night.

Now where did I put my slippers....

*not actually true
