so i downloaded istats and it says that my cpu is 122 degrees, this seems a little hot my fan is running at 1800 rpm (silent), so i wondering if this is normal?

Is that in F or C? If it's F, then it's fine. Mine runs around there when doing simple tasks like email or the web. Fan at 1800 rpm (base speed).

It'll rocket up to almost 200* when doing video transcoding or other cpu intensive tasks with the fan running at 6200 rpm (full speed).

Perfectly normal. My MacBook runs at about the same temperature almost all the time unless I'm doing some heavy duty work.
