Curious.

I'm brand new to the mac-loving world, but being a European-type person I'm detecting that:

the average European mac-lovin', mac-owning, mac devotee is a left of centre, anti-war-peace-lovin' laidback Paul Weller-adorin', Blair/Bush-loathin' good person.

Do you fit my mac-owners' profile, or are non-European mac devotees a different kettle of fish to, say, American mac-lovers?

Before you answer: remember, I love stereotypes, so don't shatter my illusions.

I'm Australian (you could say European)

I have leftist tendancies, can't understand the reason for wars, am fairly laid-back, have no idea who Paul Weller is, and wish George Bush would stick his head in a toilet bowl and leave it there for a few minutes

so yeah, I suppose I fit the steriotype

I'm going to try shatter your illusion.
Why do you love stereotypes? It's one of my biggest gripes. Perhaps this is because I grew up with a generation that makes a living out of stereotyping and generalising people. I'm a victim of stereotypes and as a kid, I made a big point of displaying untypical behaviour.

Statistically, I'm a swinging voter - laid back enough to enjoy the present but not so far as to say I don't give a s**t about my future. I don't waste time thinking about Bush, Blair, Howard, or Rudd ... 99 per cent of what we know about these people has been influenced by media agendas

Left and right wing are meaningless terms, but i suppose if you mean 'are you the sort of person who actually has a conscience' then yes, i fit the bill too.

Although I do not often hug trees.

I am half european half asian and love american culture and I'd describe myself as center...
if that helps developing your stereotype:)

Most people on the social issues forum here are anti-establishment, and leftist.

I waste alot of paper, but i hug trees to make up for that.

I'm south asian

I'm a big fan of conservative economics, not a big fan of conservative politics.

You are behind the times. Blair is no longer our prime minister. I'm not a mac devotee and I don't fit into any of that rubbish. Also, if you are british and left of center then Brown is probably your best bet.

I suppose I fit in with your stereotype. But I don't really have an opinion about Bush. Or Blair for that matter.

Thank god I am not one of those.

I can't stand Paul Weller.

:D:D:D

Take a look at the political discussions that go on in the "Community and Religion" forum and see if you can still talk about an "average" profile. Certain MR members, all devout Mac users, are very different than your description (I must admit that the ones I'm thinking of are all Americans).

I am in college studying a bit of everything with a focus on business and political science. Iam a Chinese Canadian. I try to understand the world through science and an environmentalist. My favorite brands include Honda, Apple, and Banana Republic. I have many hobbies, reading being my favorite. :D

I know a European Mac user who has drank his own urine numerous times because he wanted to. How do you match up? You two could be the very best of friends.

I'm an American from New York (eff off). :D

I'm right of center, a devout Mac user for almost 20 years and I wear women's underwear and paint my toe nails. I got your stereotype right here.
